PROGRAM – DAY 1:

  • festival opening

  • the night dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of France Štiglic (director of the movie On their land). DOCUMENTARY MOVIE: TESTIMONY OF EMILIJA SOKLIČ – KOZIČ, director Borko Radešček, Slovenia, 2018, digital format, color, 75 minutes. Content: the documentary movie is a personal testimony of Emilija Soklič – Kozič, the member of the technical team of the movie On their land, at its 100th anniversary.

 

14TH FESTIVAL ECHOES OF HERITAGE 2019

Locations: Baška grapa (Grahovo ob Bači – Koritnica – Hudajužna – at the Ravtar stream – Podbrdo)

Purpose …

Every year the Society knocks on the door of technical heritage, which is being managed and free of costs offered to the visitors. This are the three pearls, memorials of local importance from this area: Jakova homestead, Prangar mill with a Venetian saw and wind turbine of the tunnel Bukovo. The content of the event also covers the pool of intangible heritage. The last day of the four-day event is as always intended for the market of heritage, where Societies and individuals from neighboring municipalities and from far are presented and add a content richer stamp.

GOAL
The festival echoes of heritage offer to the Society the opportunity to echo the programs and products, which were created in last 14. years of operation.

  • Promotion of old rituals, habits and farm tasks, some were also permanently written to the movie documentary tape by the Society, with that they wanted to contribute towards discovering the heritage in rural area and to preserve its vitality: wind turbine is a silent witness of distant time, Grema u hrib sejct (en. Let’s go to the hill to mow) (presentation of hill mowing), Holly night – Slovenian cribs, 26. years later (recorded at the anniversary of sacral documentary movie Holly night – Slovenian cribs, 1992, RTV SLO)
  • Continuation of the prize game Selfie on their land, which with innovative offer increases the quality of spending spare time in the area of recreation, sport, health, and experiences with a train on Bohinj trail
  • You are invited to traditional organized hike – Hike along Bevkova path and hike along Theme path On their land (hike along with locations of the recording of the first Slovenian feature film), with both they preserve the memory to this movie heritage of Slovenian movie
  • All visitors are invited to the traditional events: Stržišče fare (together with LS Stržišče), Paslejdnca, workshop of bouquets

With the dispersion of the events on various locations, they connect segments of cultural technical heritage, with they are briefing visitors and offer as an option active use of spare time.

At the same time, they offer visitors an option to use sustainable mobility of access to their places. The visit of 14th Festival echoes of heritage 2019, can be an example of good practice of sustainable mobility in practice in the area of preserving and knowing the natural, cultural and technical heritage as a result of so-called green products. With the use of public transportation to the locations of the events (car-train, train, bike) they would like to help towards changing of habits of visiting events.
