Access:
On the motorway we go towards Jesenice until the exit Radovljica/Lesce; here we exit and continue towards Begunje. After the village we go left towards Tržič (mountain lodge in Draga) and continue until we reach the parking lot near the the mountain lodge in Draga. Here we continue in direction towards Roblek mountain lodge and Poljška mountain pasture. We stay on this road until the parking lot at Tomčeva hut, where we park and continue on foot.

At Tomčeva hut we notice the sign that directs us on a path that leads into the woods. We follow this path through the woods until we reach a significant pile of firewood. From here the path gets steeper. On the crossroads with the path that comes from the mountain pasture Preval, we take the left turn that leads to the mountain lodge. Next destination is Veliki vrh, the path is ascending transversally on the ridge, on occasion is very steep. We stay on the steep path, but pay attention to stay on the correct one, because humans and sheep have made a number of different paths, and we could easily take the wrong one. We stay on the left, not well marked path (especially in bad visual conditions). When wet be extra cautious in order not to slip. This road takes us to the top of Begunjščica.
