Access:
On the motorway we go towards Jesenice until the exit Lesce, were we continue towards Žirovnica and Jesenice. We stay on this road till the crossroads where we turn right towards Žirovnica and Moste. Soon another crossroads follows, where we turn left in the direction of Moste. At the monument to the fallen the road starts to ascend, at the top we turn right and go towards Završniško lake and Valvasor lodge. Later we come to a crossroads going straight ahead. After some minutes the road becomes gravely and in the next crossroads we turn right. At a right turn we go over Globoki stream and park at the end of the turn in an appropriate spot.

We return somewhat from the place we parked and soon we notice the beginning of a path that ascends at the beginning and later crosses the stream. Continuing on the path, we cross the stream again. The path takes us along the water to the crossroads. We continue straight, on a very bad path, but later we turn right on a better walked over path.  Another crossroads waits ahead where we turn left on a rut that leads us to the road in the woods. We follow the road on the left and soon reach Poljška mountain pasture and Tomčeva hut. We follow the road on the right that leads into the woods. We follow this path through the woods until we reach a significant pile of firewood. From here the path gets steeper. On the crossroads with the path that comes from the mountain pasture Preval, we take the left turn that leads us to the mountain lodge. Next destination is Veliki vrh. The path leads into the woods that soon turns into underbrush and later into dwarfed pines. At the crossroads, we go into the direction of Veliki vrh, we are ascending transversally on the south slopes of Begunjščica. Transverse path slowly brings us to the top.
