Chapel of Mother of God of Lourdes (Big chapel) was erected in year 1897 in memory of epicenter of big Ljubljana earthquake. The earthquake happened in the night from 14th to 15th April 1895 and strongly affected Ljubljana and its surrounding. The chapel was erected by Ljubljana inhabitants with a purpose that Mother of God would protect them against such events. Chapel has a marble plaque with inscription: ‘Hail Mary’
