Rastelli park was arranged in the second half of the 19th century. The owner of the park at that time was Mr. Rastelli.
A lush tree crown of the copper beech that has been greeting the visitors of the park for over a hundred years can be admired right above you. It was planted together with cedars, evergreen oaks, southern magnolias, crape myrtles and common yews at the time when tourism in Portorož began to develop. Most of the trees species have already reached a high age. Here, we can also find the thickest evergreen oak in Slovenia. Century old giant is 17 meters tall and has a trunk circumference of 375 centimetres.

Portorož
Where the gulf of Trieste lies, as an integral part of Adriatic sea and the closest to the heart of Europe, there lies Slovenian coast and Portorož.
