From Ljubljana Ring Road, take the exit Ljubljana – Rudnik, turn left and continue the drive toward the village Ig. In the centre of the village we come upon a roundabout, where we take the second exit. We continue to the traffic light controlled crossroads where we turn right in the direction of Golo and Kurešček. Onwards we follow the steep road through the villages of Podgozd, Škrilje and Golo. After the village Golo we pay attention to the sign Stara žaga, because only few meters afterward we need to turn right onto the gravel road. We continue on this path for quite a while, until we come across a crossroad, where we can notice directional mountain signs on the left. Here we turn away from the signs, turning sharply to the right, following the turn going uphill. Again we follow the road, which descends slightly towards a crossroads of 5 forest paths (including the one we have travelled on). There we park the car, in a way we do not obstruct traffic.
From here, we continue our way on foot (the road that brought us here by car is behind our back) to crossroads of 4 forest paths, where on the right, on a larger tree trunk, we can catch a sight of a signpost. We continue our walk on the right road that starts to ascend behind the tree with the post. We reach crossroads, that offers three road options (excluding the one we came by), and we take the middle one. We follow this road until we reach yet another crossroads, that comes into sight after few minutes of descending. We follow the steep unmarked and unregulated road. We can follow this road until it reaches its end, and then we direct our path right, straight up the slope of the hill, where we are creating our own path. We can also leave the former road sooner and thus start our ascend earlier. Be careful, because the ascent will be accompanied by fallen tree branches, undergrowth and slippery moss on rocks. After a few minutes of ascend, we can already see the top of Mokrc. We continue ascend until we reach the top, a small rock with poorly visible red writing on it. If we pass this rock and descend the steep slope on the other side of the top, we come to the forest path that, after a few minutes, brings us to the defence platform.
