Society Dolomit Puppets invites you to traditional 10th “Hike between Loški and Cerknica field”

Route of the hike: First we will see the swallet area of Loško polje (en. Loško field) and 2 entrances into sinkhole cave Golobina. Followed by easy ascent across the higher plateau world between Loški and Cernikca field. Along the path, we will see the remains of the Rupnik line. Our next stop will bee at Karst springs on the south-east edge of the Cerknica field. Followed by the plane part of the path towards village Gorenje Jezero. Here we will stop for a snack from a backpack. We will continue our hike on the western slope of the hill Stražišče, on top of which we will see the remains of a settlement from the older Iron Age and the remains of Rupnik line. On the route of the old Roman road, we will go pass village Klance and return back to the starting point in Škrilje.

The hike is a medium difficulty, suitable for all ages. The length of the hike is 12 km, and it will take us around 5 hours. The contribution to the interpretation of the heritage is 5€.

For a hike, you will need suitable footwear (hiking shoes). The hike will be in any weather. The attendance at your own risk.
