Rinka is waterfall of river Savinja, actually its original stream in the gable of the Logar valley. Rinka is one of most beautiful and visited waterfalls in Slovenia. It is one of the tallest free falling waterfalls in Slovenia and the highest of twenty (permanent and temporary) waterfalls in Logar valley. It is visited in all seasons: in summer it is popular among tourists, in winter among frozen waterfalls climbers. Water, that flows into it, comes from the area of Okrešelj. The most famous part of the waterfall is lower, 90 meters high stage.
Above the waterfall there are two smaller stages, which can be seen on the way to Okrešelj. Wall of waterfall is from limestone conglomerate, which is givin the slope a special reddish color. Due to a long drop, the water in the air disperses into tiny droplets and offers a breathtaking view and a pleasant refreshment on hot summer days. Under the water is a small pool. The waterfall has the most water during heavier rainfalls in spring time.
